Free licensed film showcase

The Free Film Festival emerged as an initiative of the Free/Libre/Open Source Software Community of Nicaragua (also known as GUL-NIC), as part of the Software Freedom Day and with the aim of publicizing the main film productions produced worldwide and published under free licenses, such as Creative Commons.

Although the FLOSS Community had already submitted some licensed movies under Creative Commons in its activities, it had never been done so formally, organized and extended for several days.
